been working late at night to finish this intake manifold. not a perfect finish but it works, a gain of 6% of airflow.

D16 intake manifold
reduced the loss of 10% to a loss of 3.38% of airflow. more tapered runner and wider entry from
the plenum to the runner. pics tomorrow.

D16Z6
more d16z6 head development. achieved 202cfm at only 0.387, it's the oem valve lift.
cfm raises up to 207 at 0.4 valve lift, enough for an aftermarket camshaft.
stock intake manifold shows a loss of 10% of airflow volumen and speed.
did some calculations:
98,960 Cubic Inches @ 6600 RPM with 135,00 % Volumetric Efficiency PerCent
Peak HorsePower calculated from Cylinder Head Flow CFM only
600 RPM/Sec Dyno Test Lowest Average Best Potential
Head Flow Peak HP = 205,8 215,8 225,9
Minimum Intake Valve Lift to prevent Choke = ,299 Lift @ 6600 RPM
Minimum Exhaust Valve Lift to prevent Choke = ,285 Lift @ 6600 RPM
Intake Flow CFM @28in RPM Range = 5106 to 7106

More D16Z6
developing new ideas. seeking more velocity instead cfm.
narrow bottom port entry, roof opened obtaining more angle towards valve throat.

Developing D16Z6 head
started developing an honda D16Z6 head for a customer.
lots of work to do already but CFM numbers are increasing a little bit already.
