new job

trying to escape from computers, i changed my day job and now i am focusing on geothermal science.
in the last week had no time enough to work at the garage. there are some intake manifolds to work on.
hope the following weeks save some time for me and finish the manifolds.

manifold flow wars

i bought a pair of manifolds to test them against my own version of a rsp manifold.
skunk2 last ep3 manifold and honda factory rrc manifold.
both flowed pretty well.  there are minor changes between them. skunk2 manifold comes with a 70mm hole for larger throttle body, instead of the rrc which comes with 66mm hole.

also the runner part which faces the cylinder head, is wider by 1mm in the skunk2.
runner lengths are the same.

the skunk2 flowed about 325CFM and the RRC 305CFM.
my own version of the rsp is about 298CFM with a 62mm hole for factory throttlebody.
tomorrow will work in the manifold and modify it to allow a 70mm throttlebody.

japanese quality?

i used to support japanese products for their quality,but....
boken js racing exhaust header. i have broken  2 exhaust systems of this brand and alsohad problems
with this manifold too.
