Ford F100.

hacia tiempo que no actualizaba este proyecto.solventados los problemas de arranque en caliente,
se termino la instalacion electrica, que estaba hecha a 6v y volvimos a pasar a 12v.

el cuadro de relojes que compre en ebay, no funcionaban todos los relojes, asi que hicimos un apaño temporal.

actualizacion F1

trabajando en la parte electrica, ya tenemos luces, queda comprobar los relojes interiores.
el anterior dueño paso parte de la instalacion a 12v, y no lo hizo muy bien. La duda es si pusieron estos relojes a 12v directamente y los quemaron.
esperemos que se puedan salvar los relojes del cuadro.

Ford F1. queda menos

ya va quedando menos para terminar la primera fase del ford f1. despues de rebajarlo 70mm,
probamos como queda con las ruedas colocadas.

v8 actualizado

poco a poco vamos montando el v8.....

flathead engine alive

after a hard work, engine is running!! we are one step closer .....

Triple carb manifold

Found in ebay this manifold  for mercury/ford v8 engines.
I'll work on it in the flowbench and see what gains i get.
Next step is to decide which carbs to buy , holleys or stromberg 97

F1 pickup

more advances in the F1 project.
the stock cylinder heads were broken, and the water was leaking to the oil  sump, so i ordered a new set of edelbrock heads for a flathead engine.
its incredible how hard is this engine, it runs ok with more water than oil in the sump.

new kyb shocks, engine dampers, leaf springs new steering rack... it looks very good.

ford f1 updates

slowly but step by step we are closer to the end
car frame already primed and painted in black .
cleaned all the rust and repaired bad welds.

inspiration

i am looking for some inspiration about which way to go with the ford f1. the first choice was to keep as original as possible, but i can't.  i am in love with hot rods rather than the custom scene, so probably i'll try
to modify it a 'bit'...

some pickups in bonneville....

the idea is to get some triple carbs, new exhaust headers...

like every sunday morning, i work on and drive cars rather than work on cylinder heads.
i reveived last week a electric regulator and a carburetor gasket set from  lmctruck for my '51 ford pickup.

with  a new varta battery, the pickup fires up again !!

the carb linkage of my '51 pickup its broken or at least doesn't work the way that is supposed to work.
after some gas pedal pumps, the pin which joins the gas linkage and the carb gets loose.

 

need to secure the pin with some steel wire .

 

Ford F1

new project . i sold the civic beagle and bought this ford f1 pickup. i was searching for a while a car like this,always love  50s pickups. V8 ford flathead engine.

It has a lot of work to do,at least engine is rebuilt. need a new carburetor, electrical distributor, a new painting job... and etc...
